Rev. T.G. Isom

Rev. T.G. Isom, 95, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Slayden, died January 14, 2022, at Applingwood Health Care Center in Cordova, Tenn. He was a member of the North Mississippi and West Tennessee Conferences of the CME Church where he pastored local churches including Hudsonville CME, Gray's Chapel, Isom Chapel, Pleasant Hill, Royal Chapel, Mt. Pisgah and Hurt's Chapel in Olive Branch; and St. James and Watkins Chapel in Tenn.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 28 from 3-5:30 p.m. and at Hudsonville CME Church on Jan. 29 from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Bishop Henry M. Williamson Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his daughter, Marjorie Sharon Isabel of Piperton, Tenn.; sons, Charles Isom of Littlerock, Calif., Marvin Isom of Fairfax, Va.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ervin Isom; siblings, Nellie Isom, Velma Lee Campbell, Tennessee Hughes, Etoria Robinson, Lovell Gross, Chester Isom, Ozzie Isom, and Abe Isom Sr.
