Rebecca (Becky) Hood

Rebecca (Becky) Hood departed this life on Friday evening, January 21, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

The daughter of the late Rufus Jack Skelton and Louise Skelton, who survives, she had worked many years as a home health nurse and CNA. Mrs. Hood lived most all of her life in Lamar, MS where she was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services, officiated by Donald Wersham, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Clear Creek Baptist Church in Lamar, MS with burial in the church cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of the services.

In addition to her mother, she leaves two sons, Tim Harris (Candace) of Lamar, MS and Chris Allen (Courtney) of Bolivar; four sisters and brothers, Tom Skelton (Ann) of Senatobia, MS, Wanda Leopard (Jack) of Oxford, MS, Stanley Skelton of Holly Springs and Gale Rogers of Ripley, MS; and six grandchildren she dearly loved, Madyson Harris, Hunter Wells, Averie Allen, Kaylin Allen, Kiley Allen and Noah Harris

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joann Skelton.

Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
