James Rogers Sims

James Rogers Sims, 78, of Holly Springs, died January 3, 2022, at Alliance Health Care in Holly Springs. He was a member of Yarbrough Chapel CME Church where he served on the trustee board. He was a member of Waterford Masonic Lodge #450 and was a retired construction worker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 14 from 3-5:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 15 at Yarbrough Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Tony Wilkins will officiate.

He leaves his wife, Segretta Elliott SimS; daughter, Pamela Cole of Memphis, Tenn.; sons, Len Elliott of East St. Louis, Ill., Cedric Elliott Sims of Myrtle, Clifford Sims, Charles Sims, James Sims, all of Holly Springs; sister, Mary Alice Tunstall of Milwaukee, Wisc.; brothers, Eugene Sims of Holly Springs, Eddie Frank Sims of Houston, Texas; 29 grandchildren and 40 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Braddock; brother, Willie Lee Sims.
