Rev. Joe Louis Tunstall

Rev. Joe Louis Tunstall, 85, of Byhalia, died December 17, 2021, at his home. He was a member and pastor of Free Branch MB Church. He was a former assistant principal, teacher and basketball coach at Henry Junior High School; he served on the Byhalia Board of Alderman for eight years; and was retired from FedEx.

Visitation will be held on Dec. 22 at Free Branch MB Church from 3-6 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 23 at Doxey Auditorium on the campus of Rust College. Rev. Archie Bowen will officiate. Burial will be in Free Branch MB Church Cemetery in Holly Springs. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Arlene Evans Tunstall; two daughters, Lolita Tunstall Gregory of Oxford, Mia L. Tunstall of Memphis, Tenn.; son, Terence Tunstall of Memphis; sister, Ora Lee Tunstall of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Tunstall, Bertha B. Moore, Robert Tunstall Jr., and Donzell Tunstall.
