Velma Moffitt Jones

Velma Moffitt Jones, 68, of Byhalia, died November 16, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Hearn Grove MB Church in Byhalia.

Services were held at 12 noon on Nov. 19 at Hearn Grove MB Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Darrell Cunningham officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Benjamin Jones; one daughter, Sylvia Morgan of Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, Issac Jones of Byhalia, Marquis Moffitt of Holly Springs; two sisters, Peggy Shannon of Byhalia, Mary Cunningham (Darrell) of Memphis; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, O.D. Tyson, Lillie Benson, Girdie Sharp, Dorothy Hullett; two brothers, R.B. Moffitt Jr., Rayford C. Moffitt; and three grandchildren.
