Alberta Smith Jones

Alberta Smith Jones, 71, of Byhalia, died August 25, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Berachah Ministries in Red Banks where she served as a church mother.

Services were held at 12 p.m. on Sept. 4 at Berachah Ministries with burial in the church cemetery. Prophet Jeremy J. Gatlin officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a daughter, Jennifer Pritchard; four sons, Sammie Smith, David Smith, John and Jeff Johnson; sisters, Jannie Webb (Arthur), Stella Honer, both of Red Banks, Azzie Lee Norman (BG) of Rock Hill, SC, Diann Freeman (Daryl), Joanne Harris (Larry), both of Holly Springs; brothers, Sammie Earl Smith (Pearl), Charles Reliford, both of Memphis, Tenn., Bobby Lee Smith, Larry Belford (Aslee), David Smith, all of Holly Springs; mother-in-law, Rosie Mae Jones; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Carl Jones; sisters, Dora Jones and Annie Mae Hill.
