Derek Dwayne Taylor, 52, of Holly Springs, died August 17, 2021, at Alliance Healthcare System in Holly Springs. He was a member of Mt. Peel MB Church, employed at Lund Tech, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Britttenum and Son Funeral Home on Aug. 25 from 3-5:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 26 at Cottrell Memorial Garden. Minister Henry Foster will officiate.

He leaves two daughters, Inez Hughes of Oswego, Ill., Natorie Taylor of Aurora, Ill.; one son, Deterrace Brock of Aurora; mother, Lucile Taylor Jordan of Byhalia; father, MuLester Johnson of Holly Springs; two sisters, Paulette Jones of Oswego, Danielle Taylor of New Albany; two brothers, Frederick Johnson, Ferrell Johnson, both of Holly Springs; eight grandchildren.
