Lillian Elizabeth Cochran Smith

Lillian Elizabeth Cochran Smith, 69, of Holly Springs, died August 9, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Hebron CME Church where she served as treasurer, recording secretary, steward and trustee. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and a head teller at Merchants and Farmers Bank for over 45 years.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 16 at Hebron CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Lexine Smith officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Freddie Smith; two daughters, Audrey Wright, Fredrica Smith, both of Holly Springs; eight sisters, Jo Anner Edwards of Olive Branch; Hannah Tunstall of Victoria, Alice Jean Frazier of Memphis, Tenn., Willie Etta Wortham of Jackson, Inez Collier of Milwaukee, Wisc., Sarah Moore, Pearlie Smith, both of St. Louis, Mo., Ida Mae Brown of Florissant, Mo.; three brothers, Philander Cochran of Atlanta, Ga., David Cochran of Ashland, Elree Cochran Jr. of Holly Springs; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
