Benita McKinney

Benita McKinney, 63, of Holly Springs, died June 2, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Mt. Teamer CME Church.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on June 12 at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Lexine Wilkins-Smith officiated. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves two sons, Jammy McKinney (Anita), Douglas McKinney (LaKeltra), both of Holly Springs; two stepdaughters, Yolanda Rudd (Jerome) of Southaven, Lilian Muse of Holly Springs; mother, Betty Turnage of Holly Springs; three sisters, Bobbie Craine (Lewis), Doris Turnage, Dorothy Turnage, all of Holly Springs; two brothers, Sylvester Turnage Jr. (Evelyn), Jeremiah Walton, both of Holly Springs; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a life-long companion of 43 years, Lerlon Hardaway.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Coleman; two brothers, Clevester Turnage Sr. and Leeloyd Turnage.
