Gary Dale Gardner, 75, of Byhalia, formerly of Arcola, Ill., died Dec. 5, 2020, at his home. He was a riverboat captain on the Mississippi. He was retired from the trucking business and had served in the Army Reserves.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 11 at Arcola Cemetery. Pastor Bob Silvanik officiated. Shrader Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Ruby Gardner; a son, Gregory Lee Gardner (Jennifer); two daughters, Kendal Ann Gardner, Lois Ann Doss; a sister, Becky Harrer (Richard); two brothers, Ron Gardner (Darla), Kent Gardner (Michelle); four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
