Dennis King

Dennis King, 88, of Holly Springs, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died Nov. 3, 2020, at his home. He was a member of Smith Grove MB Church and was a retired mechanic for Metra Electric in Chicago, Ill.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Nov. 20 from 2-5 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Nov. 21 at Smith Grove MB Church Cemetery in Holly Springs. Pastor Michael Gordon will officiate.

He leaves four daughters, Zubena King of Park Forest, Ill., Phyllis Mitchell of East St. Louis, Ill., Debbie Yancey, Jackie Pryor Lindsey, both of Chicago; three sons, Zivin King of Silverdale, Wash., Robert King, Derrick Ray King, both of Chicago; a sister, Mahalia King of Holly Springs; 28 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Connie Hopkins, Bessie Harris, Canary Falkner, Maxine King; and one brother, Oplis "Bush" King.
