Everlean Daugherty Long

Everlean Daugherty Long, 63, of Holly Springs, died Oct. 12, 2020, at her home. She was a member of Greenwood MB Church in Lamar. She was a cheerleader coach for Cadet/Holy Family for over 35 years, and retired as a human resources manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tenn.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 18 at Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs. Rev. Dr. Patrick Washington officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves three children, Chiquita Daugherty of Holly Springs, Catina Daugherty of Olive Branch, Dederick Daugherty of Starkville; three sisters, Shirley Daugherty, Annie B. Daugherty, Birdie M. Scruggs, all of Holly Springs; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a special friend, Columbus Nabors of Holly Springs.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Daugherty.
