Edgar "Barney" Joyner Jr., 81, of Lamar, died Sept. 16, 2020, at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a farmer and a veteran of the National Guard.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mark Fisher officiated. Burial was in Slayden Cemetery.
He leaves two sons, Billy Joyner of Lamar, Timothy Joyner (Lisa) of Somerville, Tenn.; two daughters, Violet Haulum (Paul) of Memphis, Shantell Lacy; three brothers, Jack Joyner, Andrew Joyner, Donald Joyner; five sisters, Frances Harris, Mary Duke, Barbara Fowler, Patricia Hurdle, Carolyn Edwards; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
