Rev. L.G. Bogard

Rev. L.G. Bogard, 80, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 21, 2020, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. The widower of Freddie Strickland Bogard he was a member of Powell Chapel MB Church in Holly Springs, church pastor at Shiloh MB Church in Ashland for over 12 years, and a former member of Powell Chapel Masonic Lodge #339.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Aug. 28 from 4-7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 29 at Shiloh MB Church Cemetery. Rev. Daisy Stinson will officiate.

He leaves two daughters, Tabitha Elam, Tonetta Marion, both of Holly Springs; two sons, Anthony Faulkner, Thaddeus Scales, both of Holly Springs; a sister, Gertha Lesure of Holly Springs; a brother, Douglas Bogard of Ashland; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Bogard; two sisters, Tarlena Whitlock and Natha Scruggs.
