Janie Elizabeth Nunnally Dowdy

Janie Elizabeth Nunnally Dowdy, 76, of Holly Springs, died June 16, 2020. The widow of Marcellars Dowdy, she was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red Banks. She graduated from W.T. Sims High School.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on June 27 at Family Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Canton.

She leaves her children Ann Dowdy Lynch of Jackson, Darlene Dowdy Davis (Roy) of Canton, Cedric Dowdy (Gail) of Jackson, Tenn., Jacquelyn Dowdy Davis (Larry) of Holly Springs; seven siblings, Willie Louis Nunnally of Sacramento, Calif., Mary Campbell, Christine Lyons (Willie),T.S. Nunnally, all of Holly Springs, Mark Nunnally (Katie) and Jesse Nunnally, both of Byhalia, Betty Bronson (Mitchell) of Collierville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings, John Nunnally Jr., Bruce Nunnally, Charles Nunnally, Susanne Isom, Leroy Nunnally, Billy Nunnally, Joseph McKinnie and Johnnie McKinnie.
