John Samuel Mitchell

John Samuel Mitchell, 57, of Waterford, died Oct. 18, 2019, at Alliance HealthCare System in Holly Springs. He was a member of Mt. Peel MB Church where he served as a church deacon. He was a former sales clerk at AutoZone in Holly Springs.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 25, from 2-6 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home; and on Oct. 26, from 10-10:55 a.m. at Mt. Peel MB Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor Rondias Cox will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Carlos Johnson Mitchell; one daughter, Jalissa Mitchell of Waterford; three brothers, Steve Mitchell of Memphis, Tenn., Marshall Mitchell of Chulahoma, Sylvester Mitchell of Detroit, Mich.; his mother, Mattie Laura Mitchell of Waterford; three sisters, Arsenia Mitchell and Queen Jeffries, both of Memphis, and Delenda Lawrence of Hickory Flat.

He was preceded in death by a daugther, Jasmine J. Mitchell; and a brother, Will A. "Fox" Mitchell.
