Velton Jet Johnson, 73, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died Sept. 19, 2019, at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 28, at Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Society in Memphis.
He leaves two daughters, Shirley Ann Snow (Tracy Scruggs Earnest Snow) and Angela Elaine Johnson Banks (Kenneth Banks); three sisters, Pearlie Crum, Josephine Graham and Sarah Whitlock; six granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Devonia Phillips-Johnson; his daughter, Antionette Denise Johnson-Guy; his son, Velton Phillips; his only grandson, Terrence Smith Jr.; two sisters, Vera Parker Mallory and Aselee Glover; and one brother, Houston Tex Parker.
