Chester Lee Morning Jr.

Chester Lee Morning Jr., 74, of Ripley, formerly of Holly Springs, died Sept. 14, 2019. He worked for Shaw Logging until retirement.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 28 at Smith Grove MB Church. Burial was in Free Springs UM Church Cemetery in Como. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife of 46 years, Christine Morning; two daughters, Jacquelyn Morning and Contina James (Kjondro) both of Waterford; and a stepdaughter, Yvonnie Finley of Waterford; nine siblings, Jimmie H. Boyd and Robert D. Wilson (Brenda), both of Chicago, Ill., Rose M. Coleman (Clifton) and Luther Harmon, both of Waterford, Geraldine Howell, Roger Harmon (Brenda), Gene Harmon, all of Laws Hill, Tommie L. Boyd of Columbus, Dorothy Lesure of Potts Camp; seven grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Crawford J. Wilson.
