Lucy Bell Carpenter

Lucy Bell Carpenter, 84, of Olive Branch, formerly of Slayden, died Sept. 17, 2019, at Ashland Health and Rehab. The widow of Arthur Hamer Carpenter, she was a caregiver and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Valley Grove Cemetery in Michigan City.
She leaves two sons, Daniel Lynn Carpenter and Arthur Larry Carpenter (Tammy), both of Slayden; four daughters, Shelia Sappington (Phill) of Hackleburg, Ala., Donna Miller (Shan) of Michigan City, Debbie Castoria (Bruce) of Olive Branch, Mattie `Beth' Hardiman of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; one brother, Malvin Mackey of Como; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two greatgreat-grandchildren.
