Cornelius "Neil"McKay

Cornelius "Neil" McKay, 61, of Lamar, died August 16, 2019. He was a member of Sandhill MB Church.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on August 24 at Ashland High School Auditorium. Minister Ray Crawford officiated. Burial was in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Teresa Hampton McKay; two sons, Jarvis (Katrina) McKay of Corinth, Cornelius (Valene) McKay Jr. of Ripley; one daughter, Kimberly McKay of Lamar; three sisters, Rosie McKay of Potts Camp, Clara (Harry) McKay of Holly Springs, Aretha (Alfred) Worthy of Olive Branch; three brothers, Roy (Devon) McKay of Holly Springs, John (Dorothy) McKay of Potts Camp, Layfette (Tracy) McKay of Benton, Tenn.; his niece and nephew, who were raised as his brother and sister, Albirdia (Wendell) Brown and Karey Tucker; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Laura McKay; two sisters, Louise and Roberta; and one brother, Freddie Jr.
