Jessie Mae Epps

Jessie Mae Epps, 99, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Michigan City, died July 16, 2019, at University of Illinois in Chicago. The widow of Curtis Epps, she was a former member of Sims Chapel MB Church in Michigan City where she served as church secretary, and was on the mother board. She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Chicago. She was a retired home healthcare provider.

Visitation will be held at Sims Chapel MB Church on July 26 from 11-11:55 a.m. Services will be held at 12 noon. Rev. Ronnie Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a daughter, Lotrey E. (James) Cole of Chicago; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two greatgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Autrey L. Epps.
