John Lee Spight

John Lee Spight, 74, of Holly Springs, died May 24, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was a member of Hopewell No. 2 MB Church where he served on the deacon board and in the male chorus. He was a member of Powell Chapel Masonic Lodge #339, a former member of Stars of Faith and Twilight Singers gospel groups. He was a retired supervisor for Carrier Corp. in Collierville, Tenn.

Visitation will be held on May 29 from 3-8 p.m., with family from 6-8 p.m., at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home; and from 10-10:55 a.m. on May 30 at Hopewell No. 2 MB Church, Hudsonville community. Services will be at 11 a.m. Rev. Anthony J. Spight will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Annie Jean Bryson Spight; three daughters, Jeanette M. Spight of Hattiesburg, Aminta L. Spight of Holly Springs, Jacinta M. Winston of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Ida Mae Spight Burton.
