Bernice Hardaway Oliver
Bernice Hardaway Oliver, 85, of Holly Springs, died April 17, 2019, at Baptist Hospital DeSoto in Southaven. The widow of Wesley B. Oliver, she was a member of Strawberry MB Church where she was a member of the Mother's Board, and member of Heroines of Jericho. She was a retired custodian for Rust College.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on April 21 at Strawberry MB Church. Rev. Fredrick Fluker officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves six daughters, Susie A. Smith of Victoria, LaVerne Whitelow, Thelma Snow, Paula Snow, all of Holly Springs; Jorina Pritchard of Chicago, Ill., Sharon Oliver of Franklin, Tenn.; two sons, Wesley B. Oliver Jr. of Cordova, Tenn., Stanley Oliver of Chicago; one sister, Josephine Brisco of Holly Springs; four brothers, James Hardaway of Chicago, Lerlon Hardaway of Holly Springs, Edison Hardaway of Mt. Pleasant, King Hardaway of Red Banks; 43 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Stella L. OliverWright; three sons, Curtis Oliver, Elvern Oliver, Mario Oliver; four brothers, Tommy Hardaway Jr., Willie Hardaway, Johnny Hardaway, Robert Hardaway; and one sister, Rebia Craine.
