Albert David Sims
Albert David Sims, 58, of Holly Springs, died March 24, 2019, at his daughter's home in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Yarbrough Chapel CME Church, a member of Marshall County Industrial Development Board (IDA), Marshall County Airport Authority, Masonic Lodge #241, 32nd degree Mason, and a 1978 graduate of Holly Springs High School and attended the University of Mississippi. He was a car salesman with Peck Daniels Automotive Group.
Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 29 from 2-7 p.m., with family from 6-7 p.m.; and from 10 -10:55 a.m. on March 30 at Doxey Auditorium, Rust College. Services will be held at 11 a.m. at Rust College. Rev. Tony Wilkins will officiate. Burial will be in Yarbrough Chapel CME Church Cemetery.
He leaves his wife, Edith Bridgeforth Sims; two children, Valencia Sims-Hunt, Danielle Sims Taylor-Peoples both of Memphis; his father, Robert Lee Sims and his mother, Kathyel Falkner Sims both of Holly Springs; two sisters, Belinda Sims Hollowell of Holly Springs and Gwendolyn Sims Ward of Stockbridge, Ga.; one brother, John Artis Sims of Holly Springs; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Adolphus Sims.
