Cardinals fall short vs. Eagles

Both offenses were in high gear Friday night at Potts Camp.

Eighty-one points were scored with the Cardinals coming up short, 45-36, versus the Falkner Eagles. It was the Region 1-1A opener for both teams.

“We moved the ball very well on offense, other than about two possessions,” said Darrow Anderson, head coach of the Cards. “But on defense, we struggled to get stops.”

Jabryan Pegues and Antrell Tucker combined for 498 yards rushing. Pegues had 34 carries for 250 yards and two touchdowns, and Tucker ran the ball 25 times for 248 yards and two touchdowns.
