Jessie Mae Stewart King

Jessie Mae Stewart King, 81, of Chulahoma, died Aug. 27, 2018, at Majestic Garden Nursing Home in Memphis, Tenn. She was a church usher, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a retired custodian from Galena School. She was the widow of Pudding King.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Aug. 31 from 2-7 p.m., and at the church on Sept. 1 from 1:30 until 2:25 p.m.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 at Chulahoma MB Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Lonnie Whitfield, pastor, will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her caregiver, grandson Dwight Stewart of Cordova, Tenn,; a daughter, Shirley T. Clark of Memphis; a son, Louis King of Holly Springs; three brothers, Gene Autry Stewart, Arnold Stewart, both of Holly Springs, James Stewart of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Veola Amos of St. Louis, Mo., Lessie “Pearl”  Brooks of Chicago, six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Dillard.
