Susie Clayborn Wilson Stinson
Susie Clayborn Wilson Stinson, 98, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 20, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch. The widow of Eddie Wilson and Clinton Stinson, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Heroines of Jericho, the Mother Board, Eastern Star, Sunday school and was a missionary.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 at Yarbrough Chapel CME Church, where she was a member. Rev. Joe Lester officiated, Rev. Tony Wilkins, pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was charge of arrangements.
She leaves a son, Sylvester Wilson of Memphis, Tenn.; three daughters, Minnie DeBerry-Lee of Detroit, Mich., Emma Smith of Chicago, Ill., Willie B. Franklin of Memphis; two sisters, Emma Clayborn of St. Louis, Mo., Gloria Cooper of Aurora, Ill.; a brother, Ray Clayborn of Chicago; 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Johnny Lee Wilson, Lee Henderson Wilson, and Eddie Wilson Jr.; and 10 siblings, Omia Dell James, Cora Mae Boxley, George Clayborn, Clyde Clayborn, Margaret Clayborn Zinn, Pearl Lee Brown, Lena Clayborn, MacArthur Clayborn, Elizabeth Vaughn, Valentine Clayborn and four grandchildren.
