Library system makes requests
Library director Amanda Knecht and two board members sought help with problems in Marshall County’s libraries and asked for a small raise for employees at a recent meeting of the board of supervisors.
Suzanne James, board member, requested $3,700 be budgeted in the next fiscal year to provide tiny increases for nine employees. There was also an increase in withholdings for the state retirement system recently, she said.
Some problems with the buildings include a leaking roof at the Holly Springs Library, light fixture problems, and some possible problems with mold at the Potts Camp Library, James said.
