Anderson likes Cardinals’ preseason effort
Darrow Anderson said he “saw a lot of bright spots” Friday when his Potts Camp football team met two larger schools in a jamboree.
The Cardinals traveled to Northpoint Christian in Southaven to go against the Trojans and Tipton Rosemark in a pair of 20-minute contests.
“I was proud of the effort,” said Anderson, who is entering his first season as head coach of the Cards. “Condition-wise, we looked very good.
“I know we have some little things to fix, like five offsides penalties.
“But from a physical and mental standpoint, I was pleased.”
He said in the first game against Tipton Rosemark, “It was like we had to get our juices flowing.”
