Officials spotlight extension of road

The extension of Stonewall Road past Thomas & Betts to Highway 178 was celebrated by state and local officials and community members Thursday.
Weather was rainy so the ribbon-cutting was held inside the Byhalia Municipal Courtroom at town hall.
The new road has been in service for just over a year.
Lee Boyd and Ron Tucker, with Thomas & Betts, said Stonewall Road off Highway 309 North had previously dead-ended just past the facility, with all traffic entering and exiting via 309.
