County upgrades electrical codes

The Marshall County Board of Supervisors has approved an upgrade in electrical codes that would match those followed by the Holly Springs Utility Department.
Zoning director Ken Jones recommended the board comply with HSUD’s regulations. The new regulations are not retroactive, but go forward as new permits come up.
Jones requested authority to clean up a lot that has abandoned vehicles and to set a limit on the dollar value the board would pay for a lot cleanup. The maximum is $20,000 but it was $10,000, Jones said.
