Chester Lee Young
Chester Lee Young, 68, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 10, 2018, at his home. A U.S. Army veteran, he was retired from the Army Depot in Memphis, Tenn. He served as a male chorus member, deacon, missionary, and Sunday school teacher.
Services were held at 12 noon on Feb. 17 at Concord MB Church in Slayden, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Clyde Williams officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves three sons, Chester Lee Young Jr., Kevin Young, Dewayne Young; a daughter, Felicia Lafette Young, all of Palo Alto, Calif.; three brothers, Theodore Young (Geraldine) of Byhalia, John F. Young of Memphis, Stanley Young of Lilburn Ga.; and six sisters, Ruby M. Young, Rosie M. Young, Evelyn Stigger-Rosser (James), Barbara A. Young, Sarah A. Kimbrough (Roger), all of Memphis, and Gloria J. Young of Holly Springs.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alonzo Young and Roosevelt Young Jr.
