‘Wear Red’

• Delta Sigma Theta hosts balloon release downtown

Holly Springs Marshall County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. recently brought awareness to “National Wear Red Day.”

“National Wear Red Day” or “Go Red” is intended to help raise awareness of heart disease, especially among women. Heart disease is often associated with men, but cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women.

The Ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. decided to plant a seed in the town of Holly Springs by passing out heart disease awareness literature and hosting a balloon release on the courthouse lawn.

Next year the Ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority look forward to painting the town red.
