City OKs bids on substation

The Holly Springs mayor and board of aldermen approved $3 million in bonds to upgrade the Holly Springs Utility Department’s Ashland substation.
The work will equip the substation to handle power from a TVA upgrade of its high tension lines extending from Ashland to Holly Springs. The upgrade will improve reliability of the power supply to HSUD’s customers.
