John Lawson McMinn celebrates birthday with cowboy theme

Who knew, watching the beginning of the season, that Marshall Academy’s junior high basketball teams would battle it out for the district championship?

Both teams are full of young players. They battled their way through a tough regular season with wins and some heart-crushing losses. Coaches Mike Clifton and Traci Rodgers worked to get their teams ready for district.

The boys lost in the championship game by one point to Oak Hill. The girls played Central Holmes, which has several players on their team who play up on varsity. They fell to them, but not without putting up a fight. Congratulations to both of those teams for having determination, heart and believing in themselves enough to make it that far!

Happy third birthday wishes to John Lawson McMinn! He celebrated with a cowboy- themed birthday party attended by all of his friends and family.
