Supervisors discuss rehab facility, open bids, get update on fairgrounds
The Marshall County Board of Supervisors discussed a search for a facility in Holly Springs to house alcohol and drug rehabilitation clients.
Dr. Sandy Rodgers, director of Communicare, visited the board to report that Communicare is looking for a location in Holly Springs that has adequate facilities for housing about 15 men and 20 women. She said now mothers who have substance abuse issues can bring their small children into the facility.
The facility should have individual bedrooms that will house one or perhaps two clients, showers in the rooms, an area for group and for individual therapy, and a kitchen.
The board of supervisors has been trying to get a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in the Holly Springs area.
