Lions enjoy three-win week

Last week was a big one for the H.W. Byers boys.

With tournament time near, the Lions knocked off Region 2-1A opponents Falkner and Myrtle. In between they got a non-district win over Blue Mountain.

Byers is trying to position itself as a second seed in next week’s district tournament.

First up was the Eagles Monday night, Jan. 29, at home and it was Byers that soared to a 78-56 victory.

The Lions scored 30 points in the fourth to seal the deal.
