Glennie Mae Gatewood Jones, 78, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died Jan. 21, 2018, at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill. She was retired from AT&T Teletype and ITT McDonnell. She was a member of New Exodus Baptist Church in Chicago and served on the beautification committee.
Services were held at 12 noon on Jan. 28 at Hudsonville CME Church with burial in the church cemetery. Elder Bobby G. Wilson officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves two brothers, Lawrence Gatewood of Omaha, Neb., and Tim Gatewood of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Lenora Love, Louise Gatewood and brothers, Sterling Gatewood Sr., John Gatewood, Curtis Gatewood and Cornell Gatewood.
