Murder suspect arrested

A suspect in the murder of a man whose body was thrown in a soybean field near Mullins Road in 2016 has been arrested, according to sheriff Kenny Dickerson.

The suspect is one of three who were being sought in connection with the death of Tardarious Williams of Memphis, Tenn. A farmer found the decaying body of Williams July 1, 2016.

Charles Allen Johnson, 35, of the 300 block of Metro Road, Memphis, Tenn., was picked up in December 2017 after an intensive search by agents with the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the sheriff said.
