Alvin Eugene Taylor

Alvin Eugene Taylor, 84, of Moscow, Tenn., died Sun., Jan. 7 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was the owner of Gene Taylor and Sons Plumbing Company in Collierville, Tenn., and a farmer. He was a Navy veteran.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 9, at First Baptist Church in Gleason, Tenn. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Paris, Tenn. Bobby Rushing officiated. Williams Funeral Home of Gleason was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Sandra Celeste Taylor; his children, Diane (Ernie) King of Bartlett, Tenn., Bobby (Barbara) Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, Randy (Shelly) Taylor of Potts Camp, Rhonda Wilburn of Early Grove, Patricia (Mike) Denman of Oakland, Terry (Jackie) Taylor of Gleason; his brother, Jerome Taylor of Gleason; two sisters, Geraldine Eva of Huntsville, Ala., and Sandra Johnson of Huntingdon, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odean and Opal Taylor and one brother, James H. Taylor.
