Byers Lions off to 2-0 start versus district opponents

The H.W. Byers Lions tipped off district play last week with two road wins.

Byers won a pair of close contests versus Falkner and Hickory Flat in Region 2-1A.

“We are 2-0 (in district),” coach Kevin Jones said, “but we have to be more consistent on defense. When we get into foul trouble, we stop being aggressive and give up easy shots. Also we have to stop getting the unnecessary fouls.
