Alvin “Bubba” Gulledge

Alvin “Bubba” Gulledge, 78, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 2, 2017, at his home. He was a minister and a self-employed brick mason.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Dec. 9 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. and with family from 5-7, and on Dec. 10 from 11-11:55 a.m. at the auditorium.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Dec. 10 at Rust College Doxey Auditorium with burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Dora Campbell Gulledge of Memphis, Tenn.; 16 children, Janice Gulledge Mitchell, Annette Gulledge Craig, Victor Campbell, Roxzinn G. Myers, Julius Gulledge, Jennifer G. Hilson, all of Memphis, Vincent Belfoure, Cathy Johnson, Sandra Hodges, Kalvin Turner, Elton Pegues, Eric Pegues, all of Holly Springs, Barbara Belfoure Redditt of Douglasville, Ga., Marcus Muse of Collierville, Tenn., Martel Crane of Tupelo, Alberta Turner of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Edna B. Jones, Betty Jean Johnson, all of Holly Springs, Willie Eva Coleman of Memphis; a brother, Elbert Gulledge Jr. of Detroit, Mich.; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Alvin “Bobby” Gulledge Jr.
