Cardinals win big at Lighthouse Classic

Potts Camp tipped off the annual Lighthouse Classic at Corinth in fine fashion.

The Cardinals took control early versus Alcorn Central Friday morning and stretched the lead throughout as they rolled to an 83-42 victory. It was the first game of the two-day event.

Potts Camp went up 19-7 after one quarter and led 38-20 at the half. Then coach Jeremy Dillard’s squad outscored the Golden Bears 45-22 in the second half.

Mitchell Saulsberry was named the Jumper Realty Most Valuable Player for the game. He scored 18 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and had three blocked shots.
