Aubrey Lee Boone

(December 23, 1924 - November 8, 2017)

Mr. Aubrey Lee Boone, 92, of Winona died Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 10, at First Baptist Church in Winona.  Dr. Jim Futral and Dr. Tim Mims officiated the service and burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery.  

Mr. Boone was born in Holly Springs on December 23, 1924, to the late John Hamilton and Mary Parker Boone.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Winona and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.  Mr. Boone was former President of the Bank of Winona and Executive Director of the Mississippi Baptist Foundation.

Mr. Boone is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patsy Bailey Boone of Winona; son, Alan Boone (Cindy) of Winona; grandson, Gant Boone (Jessica) of Oxford; and great-granddaughter, Adele Aubrey Boone.

Pallbearers were Eddie Hammond, Al Dotson, Dr. Louie Harrison, Jayme Key, Ken Chandler, and Tommy Fisackerly.  Honorary pallbearers were the Bank of Winona Board of Directors, Men’s Bible Class of First Baptist Church, Tee Golding, and Art Doty.
