City discusses possible grants

The City of Holly Springs mayor and board of aldermen heard proposals for grant writing services from Clencie Cotton and Charles Williams, both with Rust College.
By way of introduction of the topic, mayor Kelvin Buck said he wants the city to look for sources of funding for a number of grants.
One topic covers African American and Civil Rights history as it relates to the city and the Ida B. Wells Museum and Cultural Center.
Willams proposed holding a social justice weekend during the Ida B. Wells Birthday Celebration, a Thursday through Sunday event.
