Mary Lou Oliver Jeffries

Mary Lou Oliver Jeffries, 92, of Potts Camp, died Oct. 29, 2017, at Alliance HealthCare System in Holly Springs. The widow of Lonnie Jeffries, she was a member of St. Mark MB Church in Holly Springs and a former usher. She was a retired CNA from the Marshall County Hospital.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 4 at Awakening Church in Holly Springs, with burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Shelby Washington officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves four daughters, Amelia Dowdy, Evelyn M. Lewis, both of Potts Camp, Esther Gwen Wicks of Shreveport, La., Jeanette Beard of Holly Springs; five sons, Leonard Oliver of Memphis, Tenn., Ira Oliver, Kenneth Oliver, Orion Oliver, all of Atlanta, Ga., Carlton Oliver of Potts Camp; a sister, Willie Bell Finley of Holly Springs;  and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four siblings.
