County, city school districts receive “C” ratings

The Marshall County School District maintained its “C” rating and a couple of individual schools made big improvements.
Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) recently released letter grades for districts and schools based on Mississippi’s A-F accountability system that evaluates how schools and districts performed in the 2016-17 school year.
“The ‘C’ rating means we met the State Board of Education’s goal of every district being rated a ‘C’ or higher,” said Lela Hale, superintendent of education.
