Frances Byrd Allen

Frances Byrd Allen, 94, of Lamar, died Oct. 22, 2017, in Ashland. The widow of R.E. Allen, she was a member of 45 Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 25 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Randy Hamilton officiated.

She leaves a son, Joel Allen (Wilma) of Lamar; three daughters, Alma Pierce (Richard) of LaGrange, Tenn., Joan Cox (Larry) of Potts Camp, Peggy Clifton (Dennis) of Holly Springs; a sister, Mable Boone of Holly Springs; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by granddaughters Missy Campbell and Wendy Reece; and great-grandchildren Bradley Reece, Anna Kate Thomas and Grayson Cox.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
