Bro. Jimmy L. Curle

Bro. Jimmy L. Curle, 70, of Ripley, died Oct. 17, 2017, at North Mississippi Hospice Center in Tupelo. He was pastor to New Hope Baptist Church, Clear Creek Baptist Church and Chewalla Baptist Church for over 35 years. After retiring, he served as interim pastor and chaplain at the nursing homes in Tippah County.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 20 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Stacy McKee and Bro. Robert Buse officiating. Graveside services were held in New Salem Cemetery near Walnut with Minister Kenny James officiating.

He leaves his wife of 49 years, Linda Shelby Curle; two sons, Brad Curle (Leslie) of Ripley, Scott Curle (Michelle) of Oxford; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jamie Booker and Mary Helen Curle.
