County tax collector, superintendent report to supervisors
Marshall County Tax Collector Betty Byrd reported 147 delinquencies in personal property taxes for the 2016-2017 tax year totaling $30,586.78. There were 385 mobile home tax delinquencies for the same period totaling $11,380.33.
The board of supervisors approved a board order providing for a tax lien to be filed in the circuit clerk’s office as a judgement on the judgement roll.
Byrd also asked for a board order to clear outstanding checks in the amount of $73.29 which will be added back to the tax collector’s account in the beginning balance for October 2016.
The board approved continuing to use First State Bank as a county depository.
